2008 marks Quinnipiac Travel's 40th Anniversary serving the needs of you our clients and we have seen many changes over the years. Some of the changes have been good and others not. One of the good ones was ticketing automation. Being able to book and ticket airline reservations electronically has enabled us to find the best airfares possible and ticket them quickly and efficiently. On the other side of the coin was the elimination of travel agent commissions by the airlines which necessitated charging ticketing fees.

Of course, we can never forget 9/11, the impact it has had on the world of travel, and those fortunate to have had their travel agents help them during their time of need. The greatest impact, however, has been the World Wide Web. Those three letters (WWW) have educated and enabled us to reach out across continents and take a closer and more in-depth look at the world we want to explore. It has also enhanced our ability to help you make your travel dreams come true.

We at Quinnipiac Travel have been fortunate for these 40 years because of you, our loyal clientele. You have helped keep our doors open and enabled us to provide for you some memorable travel experiences. We have appreciated your loyalty for all these years but now it is time for us to move forward.

An opportunity has arisen for us to combine our years of experience with that of another travel agency, so effective January 1, 2009 Quinnipiac Travel will become affiliated with Mt Carmel Travel of Hamden. We, along with our outside sales associates, will be joining Christine Milani and her staff to become one.

We have worked together for 36 years, have been partners for over 20 years and feel that the time is right for us to move in this direction. Christine's energy, expertise and enthusiasm as well as that of her staff have helped us with our decision. Our combined experiences will only enhance our ability to continue to serve your travel needs and to send you once again on your next magical vacation.
